So, I'm listening to 8AM on the way into work this morning, about as loud as the car stereo will go, and I'm liking it and finding it quite refreshing, but it strikes me that these guys are COMPLETELY OUT TO LUNCH! I mean, they're all quite mad, aren't they?
The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more fucking punishment in store. Stand it like a man. And give some back.

No argument here. Go back to the video of "Absinthe" that was posted somewhere on this site and seeing Kimmo/Trey's little Hendrixian freakout will remove any lingering doubt.

I played 8AM in the car this past weekend, and the Mistress said it sounded like some kind of Satanic ritual. I just chuckled.
The sound of one hand clapping is the same as the sound of a tree falling when no one's around to hear it.

Personally I think that Pat was being completely serious in the Tuner interview when he called Kimmo "The Devil".

Who else would wear a welder's apron on stage while playing an accordion?

Smokin'!

He only wears the apron to stop himself looking stupid with the accordian. The combined stupidity factor of the accordian and the apron cancel each other out producing something that looks "cool". It's scientific fact and you know it.

I think it's a skirt. Mr. Kosminen wore one too in the concert.

And the price went wayyyyyyy beyond my psychological limit.

see here.

Bummer. I've been looking for that single for over four years. First one to ever appear on any ebay site or Gemm, MusicStack, Netsounds etc etc etc. It has (despite a plethora of JD coimpilations over the years) never been reissued in any form whatsoever. If you want to hear this, you have to find the real thing.

Oh well, now I have no excuse not to buy the Jap KTU CD!

There's always a positive side.

8)

O!

KTU-8AM

Postby phoenixal on Tue Nov 15, 2005 1:31 pm

Have just received the japanese release of 8AM with the bonus track,
Tachi, which runs for 8'17". Also received one of the postcards showing the band. Need to try to find the time today to listen to this bonus.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My expectations are high. Hopefully not too high!
Very impressed with Besection. Sent mine from Japan last Saturday,
and it arrived today!! We all know that DGM are terrible, compared to
the vast majority of outlets, but they could learn a thing or two from
these guys.

Allan.

I've got a mail from Office Osawa, the KTU promoter
saying "A dinner with Samuli Kosminen" will be held
for KTU fans on December 1 at a Japanese restaurant here.
(here, I mean, in Tokyo).

If you happen to be in Tokyo on that day
why don't you...
